Old Town Violins offers a simple, economical monthly rental plan for a variety of orchestra instruments for personal or school use.

Renting offers low payments with no large up-front obligation.  Our rentals are available anytime of the year. Our rental plan offers economical options when compared to outright purchase.  Renting limits your cost while you see if your child will stay in the program.  This is a modified rent-to-own program.  While our rentals are not for sale, your rental payments accumulate equity that may be used toward the purchase of a step up instrument.

These instruments are either new, like-new or well-maintained used instruments. All are in good repair and playing condition. All of our instruments are approved for use in school programs by local school music teachers (unlike many department store and internet instruments).

You may rent indefinitely. You can return the instrument at any time after the 6 months minimum.  However, there is no refund for unused rental time. Exchanges are free for string instruments moving from one size to another.
